This critical security gap is already affecting our cognitive lives, and it is not being addressed. So 2 questions: before we calculate what AI consumes, should we not first account for what the web's foundational architecture already costs in energy, privacy, and in the invasion of human intimacy? Second: How should the web be restructured at the infrastructure layer first?
