A concrete a pledge for global technology companies and governments as well as the ecosystem that serves as a rule book for what good governance should look like in AI technologies and tools.
From your perspective, which of the following thematic areas identified by the General Assembly Resolution 79/325 for the AI Dialogue reflect your priorities for urgent action and active engagement?
- Safe, secure and trustworthy AI
- Social, economic, ethical, cultural, linguistic and technical implications of AI
- Transparency, accountability, and human oversight

A safe and secure AI technology is crucial and human oversight on it is the only way it can be guarded.

Empathy in AI, how to understand empathy within the design of AI tools as it is being used as an empathetic companion
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
There is heavy reliance on individual and organization AI use with MENA. What we need to do is understand the impact of that and how essential it is to always have humans in the loop to oversee processes and to maintain integrity within the outcomes. It is also important to understand the data sources as well as its repositories and what implications occur for the mining and harvesting of that data especially by technology corporations.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
It can bring all players together and play a convering role by creating legally binding agreements to move the needles from nice to have to must haves on the AI governance frameworks.
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
Building on the work of CAIDP as well as CIGI would be great so that the current great work that has been done and the initiatives that are underway are leveraged to build more robust systems.
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
I think think tanks and NGOs will work side by side with governments and big tech to come up with a multistakehodler view on what is needed to build secure and fair AI systems.
Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?
Definitely the global south where majority of data mining is taking place, also where natural resources are depleted for this AI race.
What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
Small workshops and group discussions as well as peer groups I beleive will help build more momentum and obtain better outcomes.
Please share examples of policies, practices, platforms, or approaches that promote effective AI governance or offer concrete solutions to addressing its challenges.
