In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?
The global Dialogue on AI Governance will be successful if it fosters deep engagement to build a credible foundation for the future, grounded in high-level principles, with transparency and concrete actions to bridge gaps between national strategies and international cooperation. Create methods to evaluate advanced AI models, inclusive in developing countries, allowing access to high-performance computing and support for open-source AI models. Include broad participation from governments, civil society, academia, and technical experts, ensuring diverse representation. Establish models that respect human rights, transparency, and accountability, ensuring compliance with international law. Identify the risks and establish ways to protect against the socioeconomic implications and the ethical, cultural, and linguistic impacts that cause harm.

The AI must be safe, secure, and trustworthy to reduce risks for users and communities worldwide. In an effort to avoid misuse that facilitates all kinds of crimes. It has to take into consideration Social, economic, ethical, cultural, linguistic, and technical implications of AI, in an attempt to be more beneficial than harmful. Thus, it may contribute to the development of the world and reduce the differences among the populations. The strategies must be well-defined to ensure transparency, accountability, and human oversight, preventing damage from AI hallucinations and establishing responsibilities. Open-source software, open data, and open AI models would be necessary for equitable access, enabling the spread of knowledge and development across all populations.
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
As a developing country with significant cultural, economic, educational, and financial differences, access to AI is limited, and the different social classes have very different needs. At the same time, misuse is increasing steadily. The use of AI to commit all sorts of crimes is very common; it seems out of control. The government is working to develop the rules for development and protection, but there are many gaps to address.
