The society of today is embraced by an AI hype where tech develops faster than the human capacities to understand the risks. Focus is on effectiveness and innnovation- driven by a small amout of companies but huge societal effects. This requires reflection.
In your opinion, are there any cross-cutting or emerging issues not captured by the listed themes above? If so, please explain.
I believe that collective cumulative societal effects must be better acknowledged and addressed why I would like to contribute to the discussion: https://www.kommerskollegium.se/globalassets/publikationer/rapporter/2026/collective-societal-risks_a-blind-spot-in-ai-governance.pdf
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
Consumer/ user risk are quite obvious but still difficult to address as current regulation is focused on individual harm while the real AI risks and effects are collective, cumulative and societal. The risks to markets resulting in power concentration in a small numer of countries/companies is even more difficult to address- still with immediate effects on smaller business in other countries- with effect on innovation, trade and employment.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
There is a huge demand for critical discussion on AI based on a more holistic approach (taking on board several parameters).
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
AI Dialogue should build on established international approaches within OECD/UNESCO/ WEF but also highlight different national approaches (national strategies).
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
It could be beneficial to have a format where the dialogue starts with AI developement status (whats going on, main players, tech development/prospects). Then a session highlighting challenges on various levels (citizen/consumer/ SME/ differences worldwide (different countries). Then a regulatory approach overview/ comparison. It could also be valuable to have a "AI benefit/drawbacks- session" from various stakeholders (decision making/regulatory bodies/ business/consumers/ environment/sustainability/safety/resilience)- AI effectiveness/innovation/fast phase development vs sustainable human life (learning by doing/human oversight).
Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?
Today high tech gets most of attention. AI safety in widest sence is most important.
What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
Highlighting the most essential but uncomfortable questions (AI &jobs/ how to maintain menaingfull existence for human life and secure traditions/culture, how not to abolish the incentive to develop oneself as child/human being (using dummyfying AI). Where to use/not use AI.
Please share examples of policies, practices, platforms, or approaches that promote effective AI governance or offer concrete solutions to addressing its challenges.

I think it would be valuable to have a showcase of various national /regional approaches. Also question whether we can govern AI (by regulation)- if not there must be some safeguards for tech development.
