An agreement to work on a set of rules & regulations that can be adapted worldwide with accountability for those who breach those rules & regulations. Hopefully, protecting vulnerable populations takes priority over protecting their pockets.

With technology moving so quickly, it's important that leaders are fully aware of its capabilities in regards to how their private citizens are effected. Already jobs are being lost, students are using it to read & write papers instead of comprehending information, citizens are forming unhealthy relationships with AI, and false information is being spread. To avoid the erosion of trust within our global societies we must act sooner rather than later to have a complete understanding of what is happening now, what will happen in the future, and what is at stake if we do not regulate AI.

The speed in which it is being developed is a major concern. If all are in a competition then there is no time for us to pause and understand what is being implemented. There should be benchmarks internationally so that we are not in an AI version of an arms race as we were in the Cold War.

I am a Talent Agent in Los Angeles, California, USA. I not only fear for my occupation, but how the talent I am supposed to protect could be exploited. Already we are seeing projects explicitly asking talent to be "scanned" for AI purposes. Whole feature films and shows are being created through AI, and entertainment arguably our nations' greatest form of cultural currency is being reduced to slop created by stolen likenesses. I understand that making a profit is important, but I believe that art makes life worth living and that AI is putting ALL art, not just film & television, at risk. Those who have spent decades in conservatories, rehearsals, classes, and endless auditions, all to see their own knowledge being used to replace them with AI. While considering the entertainment industry might seem inconsequential, please reflect on great moments in your life that tie back to a film, show, documentary, or even a commercial that changed your perspective or inspired you to take action or look further into a topic of interest. Entertainment serves as a megaphone for the world to express itself and when it's not being created by humans with a message, it loses all meaning. Please regulate this, please put guard rails on these evil companies seeking to replace all of us in their paths. Thank you so much for having this conversation. - Maria

Much like NATO is a military alliance/ agreement across nations to prevent another world war, I'm hoping that the AI dialogue can do the same. We must have international agreement to regulate these technologies before we reach a point of no return. It is currently moving faster than we can possibly understand.

I think strengthening the organizations who are dedicated to implementing safe AI is a great place to start as they already have the infrastructure to reach the public and private sectors if/there is an avenue for accountability: CAIS - Center for AI Safety, Center for Humane Technology, Far.AI, Ethical AI Alliance, All Tech is Human, and Creators Coalition on AI. I think the only way to keep all parties accountable is similar to how NATO operates, which is through Collective Defense, Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty. Breaching any regulations that have been globally agreed upon must be take as an attack to all. Policies I would personally like to see implemented: - No use of politicians, alive & deceased public figures - Criminalization of ALL non-consensual pornography - Worldwide companies must sign an agreement or make it clear when they use their consumer data for surveillance - Protections and flags for certain words used in prompts to prohibit violence, self-harm, and inappropriate relationships with AI - Mandatory payment and explicit consent for all data and likenesses used to train ALL models of AI - Easily accessible training and programs for children and senior citizens to protect themselves from AI misinformation
