In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?
Sound policy in the areas of ethics, including the trustworthiness of AI, regulatory framework development, data governance; are essential to safely experience the sustained, long-term benefits of AI-enabled technology across healthcare systems.
From your perspective, which of the following thematic areas identified by the General Assembly Resolution 79/325 for the AI Dialogue reflect your priorities for urgent action and active engagement?

As we are moving to AI deployment, interoperability of governance approach will help in large scale deployment followed by ensuring its safe and trustworthy and both AI capacity and upskilling and human oversight is needed for its safe adoption.

Data governance and the quality of datasets and their ability to be representative of other data used to train and validate AI are critical. The presence of differing and conflicting data governance frameworks across jurisdictions impacts important aspects like data anonymization, deidentification, version control, metadata, and responsible use.
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
In the healthcare industry which is highly regulated, policymakers should consider the complexity of the existing healthcare regulatory landscape and acknowledging the possible unintended consequences of imposing excessively restrictive regulations, which could hinder the advancement of necessary technological innovations that can greatly benefit patients.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
AI dialogue can advance an agile and future-proof policy framework that encourages innovation and research partnerships, builds a data culture that respects personal data privacy and security, supports education and upskilling in the healthcare and regulatory workforce and encourages international cooperation and alignment, where appropriate.
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
Connect with OECD AI task force, B20 digital task force and different trade association of priority industries.
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
