In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?
As an IHL scholar my focus is on limiting uses in warfare; therefore, depending on the different types of AI weaponisation and limitations of uses are important titles for me. Outcomes regarding direct effects on civilian lives can serve a lot.
From your perspective, which of the following thematic areas identified by the General Assembly Resolution 79/325 for the AI Dialogue reflect your priorities for urgent action and active engagement?
- AI capacity-building
- Interoperability of governance approaches
- Safe, secure and trustworthy AI
- Transparency, accountability, and human oversight
Please briefly explain your selection.
Most related to my research topics.
In your opinion, are there any cross-cutting or emerging issues not captured by the listed themes above? If so, please explain.
Uses, providers, civilian and military uses and effects
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
I am living in Türkiye, on the north east Russian Ukrainian war, in the East and south Iran-İsrail-US war continues and AI is used in targeting civilians.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
Peaceful uses, avoiding indiscriminatory patterns, climate change, are hit topics I think. As any technology I is open to abuse, misconduct and misuses. A dialogue can help to define necessary frameworks and align government and tech developers on ethical uses.
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?

How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
Sure. There are different types of AI, different agenda and uses. This can help to understand commonalities and differences which can help to regulate a tech.
Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?
You know better. I am trying to understand who are involved at what stage. After the event I can tell.
What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
Online participation, interactive polls to return on spot and Q&As rather than warm ups.
Please share examples of policies, practices, platforms, or approaches that promote effective AI governance or offer concrete solutions to addressing its challenges.
I will provide afterwards.
