Overcoming barriers that inhibit proper use of AI
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
Nigeria already has a huge didgital divide among its citizens which has been exerberated by lack of literacy, poverty and infrastructural challenges which need to be overcome by proper planning and guided capacity development.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
It can play several roles 1) The chances of cooperatio are highly increased if there is dialogue @)the outcomes are more realistic adachievable if there is dialogue and 3) the rgulators would gain better understanding of the issues from the dialogue thus paving way for a more robust yet effective governance and supervision.
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
This questionnaire is the first step in understanding the issues. Virtual meetings could help make it more inclusive by removing the barriers of transportatio and meetings. At the tertiary level, regional meetings could take place to deleberate on the issues raised.
