In all AI Summits, there has always been a heavy focus on access to technology and development related issues. Since the Bletchley Park Summit, the focus on AI Safety has been diluted. It is necessary to restore it through convergence and interoperability of governance approaches

How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
We have a global approach and do not look at specific countries
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
Bridge the gap between aspirations of the Global South and concerns for existential risks articulated by all leading scientists.
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
We are launching a major initiative on Global Compact for AI Extreme Risks, which has been prepared with inputs from various governments. We are planning to launch an in-depth report on Convergence of various government policies and strategies on 6 July in Geneva. We would welcome contact with your Secretariat to discuss this further and see how the Dialogue could build on it.
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
AI Scientific Panel set up by the UN General Assembly should follow the risk projection approach of IPCC and not just be a platform for dialogue.
Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?

What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
We had convened the Global High Level Panel on Water and Peace, which was an inter-governmental process. We had provided for expert hearings as part of the panel discussions. This is a good model to follow.
Please share examples of policies, practices, platforms, or approaches that promote effective AI governance or offer concrete solutions to addressing its challenges.

Also, we are going to launch a report resulting from dialogue with experts of 8 countries from the Global North and South on frontier risk management on 6 July in Geneva. This report will also be co-published by SFG and Future of Life Institute (FLI). I would welcome dialogue with you on this.
