In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?

Common footing regarding the global framework of the AI governance, focus on human rights and the rule of law as the key priorities along the safe innovation and security in the AI domain.

Given the rapid boost of AI industry in lack of governing frameworks on the domestic level, there is a need to shape the redlines in this domain and evaluate current challenges and opportunities posed by AI systems.

Increase in the use of AI in the military.

How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.

In lack of global standards and uncertainties regarding the implementation of the regional acts (AI Act, Framework Convention on AI), there is a delay in launching the processes of AI governance in Ukraine. Meanwhile, there is an outburst of AI startups and AI-driven solutions that requires providing legislative guidance on the matter, including on the intersection with platform governance, personal data protection, anti-discrimination and other related fields.

What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?

Strategize on setting global minimum standards on responsible AI development and deployment, developing the list of necessary technical standards to be designed, establishing new regional partnerships, mapping contemporary challenges and threats

What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
