In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?
A universal understanding of human rights to be protected and the operationalization of AI in a way that safeguards these rights. A consensus of principles based on universal cultural norms, that touch on all continents, and pledges to be taken to implement these principles accordingly. A deeper understanding of the different priorities cultures and geo-locations face to better understand current needs for implementation purposes.
From your perspective, which of the following thematic areas identified by the General Assembly Resolution 79/325 for the AI Dialogue reflect your priorities for urgent action and active engagement?

The organization is a boutique consultancy that provides Data Privacy and AI governace advisory. These thematic areas are very important to the orgnization as it advises other organizations, including startups on how to embed privacy by design and AI Governance into their tech products, in order to respect human rights, build trust and accountability of the AI tools that they deploy to society
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
In my region, there is a significant gap between regulations, enforcement and the use of AI in the market. As AI is rapidly evolving, laws are being enacted without really understanding the full implications of these tools. There is alot of mirror'ng of foreign laws and policies that may not necessarily fit out narratives, culture, needs and realities. A great opportunity lies in training and education and advocating for AI literacy programs
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
Helping to translate abstract AI principles into practical guidance that can be adopted locally by nations. Creating a space where Africa and other emerging markets can be heard, including their context and culture-specific concerns
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
Leverage on global capacity building networks to advance AI literacy
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
By having masterclasses, talks and research ventures within the eco-system to collect feedback and exchange ideas
Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?
Persons with diabilities, indegenous and stateless persons are often overlooked and AI solutions are not quite tailored to their specific needs. They should have special sessions to discuss their needs and help tailor solutions that would benefit them
What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
Having actual case studies demonstrating challenges and solutions, having policy hackathons, expanding the conversations and key not speeches to all stakeholders, as AI affects everyone in one way or another
Please share examples of policies, practices, platforms, or approaches that promote effective AI governance or offer concrete solutions to addressing its challenges.
