In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?
A Resolution/Practical step towards a Universal uniform international law on AI Governance and related issues.

There is need for proper regulation and oversight more so on the implication of AI and other emerging technologies on the protection and promotion of human rights; transparency, accountability and human oversight. there is therefore need for more engagement on proper ways to address the foregoing.
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
Within the Kenyan context, there is currently no law governing the deployment of AI whereas the Government and various private sectors are currently deploying AI tools and systems. There is no awareness, for example, the general public does not understand or know the nature of AI systems and tools being used for instance as used by telecommunication companies such as Safaricom, and the deployment of AI in the health systems under the Social Health Funds.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
- AI Dialogue can bring stakeholders together and foster collaborations in different capacities
- foster cross-border learning and sharing
- and create a community of like minded individuals aiming to strengthen and develop AI governance.
What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?
Participating as Amicus Curiae and sharing their expertise in AI governance and related litigations; and offering various trainings and capacity building on AI governance and related matters. Currently, my organization and law firm are engaged in active litigation in Kenya, as Amicus Curiae, on AI related litigations.
How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.
