In your opinion, what outcomes would make the first Global Dialogue on AI Governance a success?

Strict legislation protecting research data involving human subjects, particularly concerning biobanks and genomic databases, is needed. This includes implementing protocols for the use of AI data, specifying whether or not it can be used in human research.

From your perspective, which of the following thematic areas identified by the General Assembly Resolution 79/325 for the AI Dialogue reflect your priorities for urgent action and active engagement?

  • Social, economic, ethical, cultural, linguistic and technical implications of AI
  • Interoperability of governance approaches
  • Protection and promotion of human rights

AI needs to be a safe tool and used in good faith, protecting human beings from the violation and distortion of their data and identification. Likewise, the use of AI must maintain respect between cultures and social structures, without destroying or falsifying information for malicious purposes. It must be used for the advancement of science, for good, and for the benefit of humanity.

How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.

In my country In my country, the downside of using AI is the lack of culture and knowledge for the correct use of this type of technology among the general lay population. Furthermore, it is used for the dissemination and distortion of relevant information regarding the country's political and social situation. Academically, AI is being used progressively to improve teaching and learning, research, and data updates in general.

What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?

The development of standardized global protocols to be applied in the various sectors that use AI, with technical and legal safety standards, as well as standards to penalize those responsible for the misuse of AI, especially when it puts the collective of a population at risk

What are some of the existing initiatives, partnerships, or mechanisms that the AI Dialogue should build upon or connect with, and what added value could the AI Dialogue bring?

How can different stakeholders contribute to the AI Dialogue? Please share recommendations for the format and structure of the AI Dialogue.

Partnerships with experienced information technology institutions that are ethical and capable of assisting in the improvement of AI for the collective good across diverse global cultures and needs, whether in the social, economic, geopolitical, scientific, or educational spheres.

Which voices, communities, or perspectives are currently underrepresented in global discussions on AI governance? How could they be included?

Currently there are almost no more "communities" excluded from AI. But the lay population, in general, woe to the user, has no suggestions for more inclusion, since to remain a safe tool, sometimes non-inclusion can be a strategy to consider.

What innovative engagement formats could most effectively foster meaningful and dynamic engagement during the AI Dialogue?
