AI is being applied to operations which run counter to democracy, civil rights and human rights, and the health and prosperity of the biosphere, all driven by big tech companies' quest for profit and market dominance. This is without mass education as to the dangers inherent in a powerful new technology that is not well understood by many.
In your opinion, are there any cross-cutting or emerging issues not captured by the listed themes above? If so, please explain.

Massive consumption of energy and water by data centers in a world already strained by climate change, pollution and scarce resources.
How are the governance gaps and related developments/advances in the thematic areas you selected above affecting your country, region, or sector? Please highlight the most significant challenges.
Technology corporations are predominating the discourse with advertising and propaganda, state and federal government captured by billionaire interests which have prevented citizen oversight. Tech companies want free rein to pursue their marketing and research without concern for the social and environmental destruction resulting, as formerly in tobacco and fossil fuel industries.
What role can the AI Dialogue play in advancing international cooperation on AI governance?
Promote truth and sane unbiased discussion of AI perils that more people may come to demand government oversight and accountability.
